A. Parish Clubs
a. Book Club – September book with “The Shack” by William P. Young
b. Bible Club – still looking for a leader
c. Cooking Club – also in need of a leader
d. Travel Club – a fall foliage trip on the La Crosse Queen sometime during the first part of October is in the works
B. Religious Education
September 8 teacher in-service with Fr. John Parr went well
Registration will begin with the Parish Expo September 11 and 12
Classes begin Wednesday, September 22nd at 7:00 pm and Sunday
September 26th at 9:00 am
Catechetical Sunday is September 19th. Blessing of the teachers will take
place after the 10:30 mass
Don Tully is the new 3rd grade teacher
Krista Matheys is the kindergarten assistant
C. Parish Nurse Program
Monthly visits with parishioners continue
Free blood pressure readings will be offered at the Parish Expo
D. PCCW
The Fall dinner will be held October 20th, Karen Diehl will chair
E. Joseph Club
A planning session for the coming year will be held September 23rd.

5. Old Business
Parish Directory – available by late October
Ann Graham put much work into the project
Parish Expo – Julie Steiner reported that she, Angie Cina and
Fr. Cook had planning in place for the weekend. All of
the parish clubs and committees as well as religious education and parish nurse will be represented at booths in the atrium and church hall following all of the masses
6. New Business
Quilters – new chairs were purchased
Diocesan Rural Life Day – September 22nd in Cazenovia
Mark Brueggen on St. Mary Parish is the recipient of the inaugural
Friend of Farmer award; Paul Buhr is runner-up for Strangers and Guests award.
New carpet will be installed in the rectory and rectory meeting room
Additional suggestions were made by the council as to building improvements: ceramic tile in the church basement on a previously water-damaged wall in the “pie room” and fixing
the lighting in the religious ed classrooms
